Number of Sessions per User measures the average frequency of user interactions with a website or app within a given timeframe. This metric provides insights into user engagement and the habitual use of the platform.

HOW TO MEASURE

Calculate this metric by dividing the total number of sessions by the total number of unique users over the same period.

HOW TO IMPROVE

  • Enhanced User Experience: Improve the usability and functionality of the platform to encourage more frequent visits.

  • Regular Content Updates: Offer fresh, relevant content consistently to keep users returning.

  • Notification and Reminders: Utilize push notifications or emails to remind users to engage with the platform.

FORMULA

Number of Sessions per User = Total Number of Sessions / Total Number of Users

EXAMPLE

If an educational app records 10,000 sessions in a month from 2,000 unique users, the Number of Sessions per User would be: Number of Sessions per User=10,000/2,000=5. This indicates that, on average, each user interacted with the app 5 times during the month.
