Active Users (Daily/Monthly)
Active Users measures the number of unique users who engage with a product within a specific period, typically daily (DAU) or monthly (MAU). This metric is key for assessing user engagement and product reach.
HOW TO MEASURE
Track the number of unique users who perform at least one significant action (like logging in or completing a transaction) within the daily or monthly timeframe.
HOW TO IMPROVE
Enhance User Experience: Improve the product's usability and features to increase user satisfaction and frequency of use.
Regular Updates: Release new features, updates, and fixes to keep the product relevant and engaging.
User Engagement Campaigns: Utilize notifications, emails, and promotions to encourage inactive users to return.
Personalization: Offer personalized content or features to increase relevance and user engagement.
FORMULA
DAU = Number of unique users per day
MAU = Number of unique users per month
EXAMPLE
A mobile game tracks its user activity and reports 5,000 DAU and 20,000 MAU. This indicates that on average, 5,000 unique users play the game each day, and 20,000 unique users play at least once during the month.
