THE PREP

Creating effective prompts involves tailoring them with detailed, relevant information and uploading documents that provide the best context. Prompts act as a framework to guide the response, but specificity and customization ensure the most accurate and helpful results. Use these prep tips to get the most out of this prompt:

  • Review the prospect’s previous interactions, interests, and any materials shared.

  • Prepare additional resources, such as case studies or demo recordings, to include in the follow-up.

  • Confirm the prospect’s timeline or decision-making process to align the follow-up effectively.

THE PROMPT

Help create a follow-up sales script for re-engaging prospects who’ve expressed interest in [specific software product or service]. Focus on:

  • Reconnecting with Context: Starting with a reminder of the previous interaction, such as, ‘Hi [Name], I wanted to follow up on our conversation about [specific topic] and check if you’ve had a chance to review [specific material].’

  • Restating Value: Reiterating key benefits, such as, ‘As we discussed, [Product Name] can help you [specific benefit], which aligns with your goal of [specific outcome].’

  • Addressing Unresolved Questions: Inviting further discussion, like, ‘Are there any questions or concerns I can help clarify as you consider next steps?’

  • Proposing the Next Step: Including a clear CTA, such as, ‘Would it make sense to schedule a quick demo this week to explore this further?’ or ‘Let me know if I can send over additional resources to help with your decision.’

  • Maintaining Momentum: Offering a low-pressure way to stay in touch, such as, ‘If now isn’t the right time, I’d be happy to check back next month—just let me know.’

Provide a sample script that is warm, engaging, and action-oriented, ensuring it builds on previous conversations. If additional details about the prospect’s timeline or needs are required, ask clarifying questions to refine the script.
